RHJ-JOC, Inc. Chairman Steps Down as President to Focus on Sustainable & Livable Community Development.

HOUSTON, SEPTEMBER 2009  --   Effective immediately, Ms. Eva Jackson, President  & Chairman of the Board is stepping down as President of RHJ-JOC, Inc.  Ms. Jackson will remain as the Chairman of the Board of the company and continue to provide insight and direction about the firm’s operations.   Mr. Richard Jackson, EVP, will assume the title of president and the day-to-day activities related to marketing and operations.    Ms. Jackson will be focusing her daily duties on the Sustainable and Livability Communities Fund (SLCF), LLC. Ms. Jackson is one of Houston’s most recognized female entrepreneurs.  Eva founded her first company in 1981, which became the foundation for RHJ –JOC, Inc. Her commitment to working with and the advancement of small and minority own businesses in construction related services has resulted in numerous awards and accommodations by local and national organizations. Minority Business Enterprise magazine featured her as a business leader who identifies and promotes cutting edge opportunities in training, education and employment in her field.

The SLCF is a natural extension of Ms. Jackson’s life work and emblematic of her commitment to building community and sustainability. “I have been blessed with good fortunate and am determined to leverage my business experience with this fund to create jobs, affordable housing, facilitate neighborhood and community investments, business development and investment, and capacity building to benefit those individuals that have historically been denied adequate access to capital, education, and opportunity,”   said Eva Jackson, Chairman, RHJ-JOC. “I will remain chairman of the board and will still be involved in major business decisions, but my daily focus is on building and operating the fund,” said Jackson.
