  Cooperative Purchasing Agreements (COOP)

Cooperative purchasing has been utilized in public procurement for several years to gain economies of scale. Cooperative Purchasing Agreements are also referred to as Interlocal Agreements/Contracts. In essence, any local or government agency can sign an Interlocal Agreement with an agency who has the agreement in place and have access to that agency's resources.

The following illustration shows how Interlocal Agreements can be used to significantly reduce the time involved.
