NAACP Honors Lifetime Achievement of Entrepreneur Eva Jackson

HOUSTON, DECEMBER 2004  --  RHJ —JOC, Inc. is pleased to announce that Eva Jackson, president and Chairman of the Board, has been honored for her lifetime achievement by the Missouri City and Fort Bend Chapters of the National Advancement for Colored People at its 2006 Annual Life Membership event.

Ms. Jackson was honored at the annual meeting for her continuous support and leadership in the local business and minority business community. Ms. Jackson is a nationally recognized entrepreneur. Her company, RHJ-JOC, Inc. a certified WMBE, supports more than 250 subcontractors with multimillion-dollar projects in the Houston marketplace. RHJ-JOC hires and mentors WMBE/SBEs within the construction and related job order contracting field.

Ms Jackson and RHJ-JOC have received numerous awards and recognition for their work in promoting and achieving diversity and support of the minority business community. Ms. Jackson is widely known for her humanitarian work in providing resources to support sustainable housing and infrastructure projects worldwide.

The Senate of the State of Texas issued a formal Proclamation (Senate Proclamation No. 838) as a follow up to the award that acknowledges all of Ms. Jackson’s contributions and achievements locally and worldwide. A native of the City Houston, Ms. Jackson expressed her gratitude and thanks to all of the members of the NAACP and the State Senate and promised to continue to support local minority and small business enterprises and work to build capacity within disadvantaged communities.
